On 16 July, 2010 Dr Tamás Fellegi, Minister for National Economy of the Republic of Hungary nominated Mr. Kornél Szepessy for the Chief Executive Officer of HungaroControl Hungarian Air Navigation Services Pte. Ltd. Co.

Contribution to European ATM

High achievers in air traffic management were recognised on 17 March at the 2009 Jane's ATC Global Awards. Contribution to European ATM - Jane's ATC Glaobal Award 2009 to FAB-CE FAB CE is a Functional Airspace Block initiative involving the air navigation service providers (ANSPs) of Austria, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia and Slovenia. A declaration of intent was signed in June 2008 and on 18 November a framework agreement was signed to establish working arrangements and prepare a formal memorandum of understanding.


The Centenary of Hungarian Motor Aviation

Mechanical engineer and aircraft designer János Adorján (1 January 1882 – 2 July 1964) with the financial support of Count Géza Andrássy, has built the original of the “Libelle” (Flying adder) aircraft in 1909 based on the monoplane of Louis Bleriot with a twin-cylinder (18,4 KW) Adorján-Dedics type engine. He executed his first successful takeoff on 10 January 1910 near Budapest. This flight was also the first in our country.
